Radio FFH – Renewal of Radio Broadcasting Stations

MCI renewed the studio technology for the three radio stations HIT RADIO FFH, harmony.fm, and planet radio at their shared broadcasting center in Bad Vilbel. The aim of the project was to modernize the technology from 2001 to ensure continued reliable broadcasting and production operations.

A total of six studios were updated—three for HIT RADIO FFH, two for planet radio, and one for harmony.fm—as well as various editorial and production workstations and the entire central broadcasting technology. The six on-air mixing consoles, ten production studios, and the editorial workstations were all equipped with the Lawo VisTool control software. The new, specialized studio telephone system, AVT Magic THipPro, can now be operated directly via the studio mixing console.

Visual radio was also a key focus. Each studio was equipped with four fully automated pan-tilt web cameras to ensure high-quality video transmission to the internet, especially to social media platforms such as Facebook.
